About Cover Alpha

Want to hear a story?

A few years back Keith Boyle introduced himself to me for the first time after I gave a presentation at a trade show where I explained how to start selling comics to non-comic hobby retailers.  Prior to that day he’d only seen me run my mouth in various industry groups online and had some minor interaction with me. He’d never say this, but I think he mostly wanted to sit back and judge for himself whether or not I knew what I was talking about. Fortunately for me, I was at least able to give the appearance that I did and the rest as they say, is history.

Little did either of us know that the friendship that was born would lead to a partnership at Cover Alpha Comics. But before I get there, I want to be clear that neither of us would be here without the steady hands of my wife Tracey - the Managing Partner at Big Easy Comics, his co-owners at I Want More Comics - Sean Anderson and Todd Brewick, or his trusty raccoon – Richie Stebbins. Keith has become one of the best friends I’ve ever had, and Cover Alpha came about organically - it just felt like something we had to do together.

So what’s Cover Alpha?

In our minds, it’s everything that’s great about comics. This isn’t a business driven by transactions. We’re creating truly exclusive product offerings – you won’t find our variants for sale on any other website, nor do we partner with other businesses to be able to bring them to you.

We’re extremely selective about what projects we undertake and what publishers and talent we work with to execute them. Do we want to make money? Of course, we have to for Cover Alpha to be able to deliver what we feel is most important.

What’s important?

We want to create a sense of excitement that may have been missing from your enjoyment of comics. Nothing felt better when Keith and I were kids than walking into the comic shop and picking up some new comics. So much so that we want you to feel it every time you get a package from us.

It’s the art that brings each of the unique variants we do to life, so we’re committed to using our company as a platform to market the talent we work with. Too many creators in the industry struggle to make a living so we’re committed to using our resources not only to pay them for their efforts, but to raise their profiles as well.

It’s a family and we want you to be part of it. We’re committed to providing customers a great experience and we stand behind our products.
